‘The fashionable man is not sexy,’ says Jean Touitou, a man who has made his name as a fashion designer, somewhat ambiguously.

Having founded A.P.C. (Atelier de Production et de Création) in 1987, he admits his approach to design over the last three decades has been a little catch-22. ‘It’s a difficult thing to do fashion for men, while hating men who are too fashionable,’ he says.
